Qisṭ: Theme of Sūrah Yūnus

In Sūrah Yūnus the central theme is Qisṭ, which means justice, in which everyone receives their due.

Fir’aun claimed faith after witnessing the unseen, but true faith must be rooted in belief in the unseen and invisible realities. Therefore, he faced punishment. Similarly, Yunus (AS) left his people before fulfilling his mission, and as a result, Allah did not punish them but instead gave them more time to embrace the message. Invariably, the underlying theme in both examples is Qisṭ—justice.
