Significance and Urgency of Seeking Divine Knowledge

• Divine Knowledge is that which brings us closer to Allah.

• Mawlana Amir al-Shabi (d. 2 A.H) described knowledge as what brings you closer to Jannah (paradise) and what takes you farther away from Jahannam (hell) so this is the knowledge that counts.

• Seek knowledge that has the purpose of ennobling the human being.

• As we acquire knowledge concerning technical fields, we must also devote our hearts and minds to attaining knowledge that ennobles us.

• Only through Divine Knowledge can we know how to be Muslims.
