Sayyiduna Anas Ibn Malik (radiyallahu ‘anhu) reports that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ would recite the following supplication when the month of Rajab would commence:

“O Allah! Bless us during the months of Rajab and Sha’ban, and allow us to reach Ramadan!”

Purpose: This is the dua that can be recited when we look in the mirror.

Overview:

  • As people become more preoccupied with self-image, Allah is teaching us through the Prophet that He made us all beautiful.

  • Our existence is both spiritual and physical, we have to take care of both.

  • It is now our responsibility to make ourselves beautiful inwardly.
